Training on Power Quality Monitoring and Mitigation to Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) Engineers and Technicians

Electrical energy is a product and like any other product it should satisfy quality requirements. Low power quality mainly harmonics, voltage level variation and transient cause several damages in to the utility. Maintaining prescribed level of power quality is a joint responsibility of multiple actors. The three significant actors are the electricity supplier/ network operator, equipment manufacturer and the user. Therefore, Power Quality Monitoring and Mitigation plays a great role in solving the problems. We gave a successful capacity building training on the subject matter to engineers and technicians of the Ethiopian Electric Utility based on their level of expertise.
